Gus Park from AA Home Insurance notes, "Having a green space of our own still tops the charts when it comes to buying a house." However, properties with larger gardens tend to be more expensive, with Savills reporting a 39% higher cost per square meter.

2. Off-Street Parking (38%)

Homebuyers also highly value off-street parking. Benefits include increased security, convenience, avoiding on-street parking permits, and potentially lower car insurance premiums.

3. Proximity to Local Amenities (29%)

Nearly a third of buyers prioritize being close to local amenities, including train stations and town centers. Proximity to such amenities can significantly increase property value, with Yopa reporting an average price premium of £82,000 for homes near town centers.
